Volunteering

The Workshops Rail Museum's Volunteer Program exists to enrich the role of the Museum through reciprocal relationships with the community. The Volunteer Program offers community members the opportunity to work as part of the Museum team and contribute to the effective operation of the Museum and its programs. Volunteers work within teams according to their interests and skills.

Volunteers are an integral part of the operation of The Workshops Rail Museum and participate in a variety of roles, as listed below. Detailed job descriptions are available should you wish to apply for a particular position.

Work Experience and Vocational Placements

Work experience and vocational placements at the Queensland Museum aim to provide students with an opportunity to relate their studies to the workplace, prepare them for the demands and expectations of the working world, and help them to make informed career decisions by assessing their aptitudes and interests.
