Workshops Wizard Storytelling
Regular performances throughout the day
Wand-masters will be spellbound by The Workshops Wizard's Storytelling as he unravels interesting tales about the trains at The Workshops Rail Museum.
Forest of Knowledge & Garden of Learning
9:30am to 5:00pm
Make a wand and cast a spell on your friends while you enjoy puzzles, craft, costumes and stories.
Sorcerers School
Weekdays only
Budding sorcerers of all ages are invited to discover the secrets behind the science. Meet in the Forest of Knowledge when The Workshops Professor presents the Creature Comfort workshop where you will learn about caring for our valued creatures and their environment.
Starlight Labyrinth
10:00am to 4:00pm
Follow the stars and weave your way through a magical universe that will astound you!
Broom & Cauldron Dining Car
9:30am to 5:00pm
If you were a Wizard what would you eat? Visit Platform 9's Broom & Cauldron Dining Car to concoct snake sandwiches and bat wing tea!
Magical Model Railway
9:30am to 5:00pm daily
Test your powers of perception by finding The Workshops Wizard as he flies through the Museum's huge model railway.
Wizards Express Miniature Train ride (additional charges apply)
Tickets are $3 per person (ages 1 and over) and are purchased after entry to the Museum.
Workshop of Wonders
Sessions throughout the day. Additional charges apply, no bookings required.
Create your very own wooden book end in our Wood Workshop. Kits are $9.90 and adult supervision is essential. Enclosed footwear is essential.
Behind the Scenes Tours of the Working Workshops
Regular times throughout the day
Take a magical mystery tour of QR's Working Workshops where heritage trains are restored before your eyes. Remember, it's a real Workshop, so for your safety enclosed footwear is required.

Learn more about the science behind the magic with demonstrations and hands-on experiments for the budding wizard.

Have a magical picnic lunch with the family at the Wizards & Witches Express event. Hampers include wraps, cakes/slices, fruit, juice or water, and a treat. Picnic hampers must be pre-booked.
