Trains have been used for children's play for almost as long as there have been real trains. Since the 19th Century, tales and toys associated with trains have delighted both child and adult alike. Toyland Express explores trains in our childhood and encourages our youngest visitors to develop their literacy skills through play. Toot toot!

Travel by steam train from Roma Street Station to The Workshops Rail Museum, enjoy the BIG LOUD FUN of the Museum and the Toyland Express event before returning to Roma Street Station via coach (bus).

Down at the Station
Count the Toyland Express trains hidden around the Museum's model railway. How many can you find? Then chuff down to the station and dress up as your favourite rail worker and become an engine driver, train conductor, ticket seller and more!
The Toy Box
Discover all your favourite toys and many new ones, all inside the Toy Box.
'Little Engine That Can' Miniature Train Ride
