Railway Heritage Conference: Challenges and Opportunities

Railway tracks

Thursday 5 November to Saturday 7 November 2009
Please note that conference dates and content are subject to change.

In recent times those interested in operating railway heritage sites or programs have faced significant challenges from regulatory reforms to greater public expectations.

Furthermore, as significant milestones and anniversaries arise, there has been renewed interest in the history and culture of the railways with major academic research projects, publications, museums and exhibitions documenting and recording the enormous contribution railways have on our way of life.

Railway Heritage: Challenges and Opportunities will provide an important forum to exchange ideas, share experiences and contribute to the ongoing debate about the future of railway heritage.

The Conference Program and Booking Forms will be released in early 2009.
