Onsite Educator Led ProgramsMake the most of your school visit to The Workshops Rail Museum with one of the following educator led programs: Nippers Play and LearnThe workshop is a creative, interactive and educational session for children aged 0-6 years to enjoy. With a variety of themes to choose from, all sessions include an element of song/movement, interactive storytelling and art & craft.
Simple Machines WorkshopThe workshop is a hands-on approach to learning about simple machines and can be tailored to suit children aged 7-13 years. The workshops will give students an opportunity to explore simple machines through the use of specialised LEGO kits and look at how simple machines can be used at home, school and in the railway.
Wood WorkshopAt The Workshops Rail Museum's exciting new Wood Workshops, students will exercise their physical and creative skills using vices, hammers, nails, bolts, screws and paint to create their own wooden toy train. Sessions are suitable for children from 5 to 8 years old and are supported by a package of pre and post visit activities. Bookings are essential and charges apply. Available from Term 4, 2009.
