Teacher Free Months
During October and November 2009, Queensland school teachers are admitted FREE into The Workshops Rail Museum, seven days a week. Take the opportunity to experience the educational offering of the multi-award winning Museum and plan your next school excursion. Don't forget that Queensland schools groups are admitted FREE during school hours. Teachers are required to show proof of their teacher registration on entry.

Santa Celebration Heritage Diesel Train Journey 2
Get into the festive spirit with the Santa Celebration Heritage Diesel Train Journey 2!
Departing from The Workshops Rail Museum Platform, take a one and a half hour trip through the scenic South East Queensland country side before returning to the Museum to meet Santa and enjoy the Christmas themed activities.
Please note Heritage Train ticket prices do not include entry into the Museum.

Steam Train Sunday
All aboard! Travel through Brisbane on an historic steam train and relive the splendour of a bygone era. It's BIG LOUD FUN as you board the steam train at Roma Street Station for a one hour trip through the City. Pass through twenty stations and enjoy two river crossings on your journey as you relieve the romance of rail aboard vintage carriages. Bookings are essential.
Adults $18.50, Concession $15.50, Child (under 16 years) $10.00, Family (2A+2Ch) $55.00. Discounts apply for Annual Pass Members.

The Workshops Express - heritage steam train journey
Relive the romance of rail on a 70 minute steam train journey from Roma Street Station to the birthplace of rail in Queensland, The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich.
Travel in vintage carriages and enjoy entry into this award-winning attraction including a Behind the Scenes Tour of the Working Workshop and see skilled trades people restoring and maintaining the Heritage Fleet just as they have for over 100 years.
Includes lunch with dessert. Return to Roma Street Station via coach (bus).

Day out with Thomas 2010
The Workshops Rail Museum's signature annual event, Day out with Thomas, will once again delight visitors of all ages. 'Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller' and Thomas the Tank Engine himself will be visiting The Workshops Rail Museum. So come along and join in all the fun with storytelling and activities for all.
Admission is FREE for Annual Pass Members otherwise general Museum entry applies.
