An early Devonian gastropod faunule from the Mt Etna beds central Queensland
Gastropods from the uppermost Mt Etna Limestone, central Queensland are represented by eleven taxa including the new taxon Beuchelia sandsi sp. nov. Most are imperfectly preserved and hence unidentifiable beyond genus, but do provide notable occurrence data of biostratigraphic importance. Lochkovian-Pragian-gastropod data remains poor for eastern Gondwanaland, but Old World realm affinities are apparent in this faunule.
