She is now working with Dr Chris Burwell on groups such as dragonflies, butterflies, ants, wasps and bees. Her work involves caring for the insect research collections and conducting field work collecting insects in Queensland, identifying insects and managing the insect database, sending loans to scientists all over the world, lecturing, answering public enquiries and also supervising work experience students and volunteers.
