New: Biodiversity Programs
The Workshops Rail Museum celebrates Biodiversity with the temporary exhibition A Room for Wild Animals, on now until 26 November 2017.
Bring your students along to see some of the most amazing mammal specimens from the Queensland Museum Network's collection and participate in exciting new educational programs linked to the exhibit.
- Animals, Animals, Animals! Exhibition Trail and Student Workbook - Prep and Year 1 (Free)
- Animal Classification Workshops - Year 3-4, Years 5-6 and Year 7 ($6 per student)
- Guided tour of the exhibition (Free)
All are aligned with the Australian Curriculum (v.8.3): Science

Free Entry for Queensland Schools
Entry is free for Queensland schools during Queensland schools hours.
Non-Queensland school students visiting as part of a school group and all school group visits outside Queensland schools hours are admitted at $10.50 per student.

We offer free entry for additional Carers as per the following ratios:
- 1 adult per 5 Prep students
- 1 adult per 10 primary school students (Years 1 – 6)
- 1 adult per 15 secondary school students (Years 7 – 12)
- 1 adult per 1 student with special needs
Bus drivers receive free entry.
Free entry for teachers all year round
We offer FREE entry for Queensland teachers all year to familiarise yourself with the Museum for a future excursion with your class. For free entry, just show your teacher ID and sign-up to our Education ENews. Entry prices apply for family members and accompanying guests.
