Wild Rangers Wildlife Encounters Show
Learn about Australian native animals and their various adaptations in this live animal show. Stick around to meet and handle some of the animals after the show.
Showtime 10-11 am and 12-1 pm

DAILY (12-20 August)

Creation Station
Make an animal mask and binoculars to take with you on safari! There are loads of animal puzzles and a book corner for animal stories.
9:30 am-4 pm

A Room for Wild Animals Exhibition
Close encounters of the furry kind! See 20 taxidermy specimens from the Queensland Museum collection from big cats to bears! See more on the exhibition here.

Big Mammal Trail
The animals have escaped and we need to find them! Help us identify their tracks and locate them in the Museum with this self-guided trail.
9:30 am-4 pm

Animals Match-Up Trail
Match the animal picture to its description in this self-guided trail and find its real life specimen in the special exhibit A Room for Wild Animals. Don’t forget your binoculars!

“Animal Academy” Animal Adaption Workshop

Following the Wild Rangers Wildlife Encounter Show, create your own animal based on a unique set of adaptation criteria.
Suitable for all Year levels
11:15 am-12:15 pm and 1:15 pm-2:15 pm

“Think Like a Scientist” Classification and Biodiversity Workshop
Classify members of the animal kingdom with the scientific classification system and see special specimens from the Queensland Museum collection.
Suitable for Years 3-4, 5-6 and 7
