Entry is free for past and present Queensland Rail employees and Ipswich residents

Proof of residency is required and may include drivers licence or rates notice. Admission charges apply for non-Ipswich residents. Non-Ipswich residents receive 50% off normal entry when accompanied by an Ipswich resident.

  • Soak up the festive atmosphere with roots and funk band Fat Picnic, and local choirs 
  • Explore an Ipswich icon that’s been going since 1865 with parts of the site usually not accessible to the public opened up for self-guided walking tours
  • Meet some friends from the bush with Wild Rangers Wildlife Encounters
  • Entertaining the littlies is King of the Kids Tim Jackman 
  • Browse the Discover Ipswich stand and see what’s happening in your own backyard
  • Get up close to genuine locos and vintage carriages
  • Try driving a train on a simulator
  • See the Railways 1914 – 1918 exhibition
  • Get active with Life. Be in it activities

  • Let off steam in the indoor adventure playground and expansive grounds
  • Get active with hands-on exhibits
