2. Marvel at models – the ONLY time it’s ok to stare is when you’re looking at the detail and hand crafted spectacle that is model railway.

3. Challenge yourself – Science Stations will keep the family busy for a while with various challenges and hands on activities.

4. Play old school games in big style – challenge your family to big snakes and ladders or connect four and more!

5. Get rowdy at Nippers Railway – Nippers is the name given to the youngest member or a rail gang. Little ones can let off some steam in the indoor playground before home time.

6. Get hold of old stuff – this area is aptly named ‘Touch Tables’ where we have some special select items from the past that you can pick up and take a closer look at.

7. Walk the Workshops – check tour times at Ticket Office and take a Heritage Railway Workshops Tour. See what’s being worked on by Queensland Rail, but only if you’ve got enclosed footwear (it’s required for your safety as you’re visiting an industrial heritage site).
