Spring fun family day out!

Step into an army camp based on WWI & WWII as the Museum grounds are transformed for one day only! See military displays, blacksmithing, flyovers and more for a glimpse of war time life thanks to Standard Bearers Military Re-enactment and Modelling Association and The Emu Valley Field Volunteers.

What you’ll see on the day:

  • 9.30am Camp activity
  • 9.45am Troops march to Cenotaph
  • 10am Flag raising
  • 10.30am Biplanes flyover
  • 11.30am Cannon Salute
  • 12pm Amberley Brass Band
  • 1pm Mayor’s farewell to troops
  • 2pm Troublemaker skit
  • 2.30pm Trojan flyover
  • 3pm Cannon salute and lower flag

Fun for the whole family with Museum entry included:

  • See the new exhibition Railways 1914 - 1918
  • Challenge the family with hands on Science Station exhibits
  • Try driving a train on a simulator
  • See parts of Queensland in miniature on the Model Railway layout
  • Take a guided tour of the active railway workshop
